~Good Locations of Fireworks Festivals in Tokyo: A Must-See Summer Experience in Japan~
I wonder where the fireworks festival will be held next Saturday.
It’s the Sumida River Fireworks Festival.
It’s one of the most famous fireworks festivals held in Tokyo.
I’m really looking forward to it!
Are there any other famous places?
Yes, there are a few other well-known ones!
1. Sumida River Fireworks Festival:
This is one of the most famous and historic fireworks festivals in Tokyo. With a tradition that dates back to the Edo period, visitors can enjoy the fireworks from two locations along the Sumida River. Fireworks can be seen in Asakusa and other areas along the Sumida River.
Number of shots: approx. 20,000
Period: Late July
Location: Along the Sumida River (Taito and Sumida city)
2. Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival:
The Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival is held at Jingu Gaien Garden in the heart of Tokyo. This is a highly entertaining event where you can enjoy live music and fireworks against the backdrop of the city’s buildings. Live artists are also featured, making it a popular event for young people.

Location: Meiji Jingu Gaien (Shinjuku and Shibuya city)
3. Edogawa Fireworks Festival :– Our Favorite!
This is a fireworks festival jointly held by Edogawa and Ichikawa city, Chiba Prefecture. Visitors can watch the fireworks display with great intensity at a vast site along the river. There are plenty of viewing spots, as the fireworks can be enjoyed from the other side of the river as well.
Number of shots: Approximately 14,000

Location: Edogawa riverside
Last year, we went to the Edogawa fireworks festival together, didn’t we?
Seeing so many fireworks right in front of us was truly breathtaking!
Edogawa city is my hometown and I have been going to the Edogawa Fireworks Festival since I was a child.
If you go to the venue, you can see the fireworks right in front of you.
I have a video we took last year. I’ll share it with you!
But the real thing is so much more amazing than this!
It’s such an exciting feeling when the sound truly resonates in your heart.
That’s awesome! I can’t wait for Saturday!
