Haha, not quite a secret club. But there are special cherry blossom spots all over Japan.
Usually, it’s large parks and riversides where lots of cherry blossom trees are planted.
During hanami season, these places turn into pink wonderlands,
and people gather every year to enjoy the view.
And they can get super crowded!
But I love the atmosphere like people chatting, eating, taking photos.
It feels like a peaceful festival under the trees.

But do cherry blossoms bloom all year round?
That’s good question!
As for the timing, cherry blossoms bloom in spring, usually from March to April.
But the exact timing varies by region.
In the south of Japan, like Okinawa or Kyushu, the blossoms can start as early as mid-March.
But up north in places like Tohoku or Hokkaido, they bloom around late April.
It’s kind of like a wave of pink slowly moving from the south to the north.
